The Story
We are a Full WECAN Member, meaning our program follows Waldorf early childhood principles for infants, toddlers, and young children. We offer a gentle, rhythmic, and developmentally appropriate approach that supports healthy foundations in the early years.
Our program serves walking infants and toddlers through early preschool, supporting development through consistent caregiving relationships, daily life activities, outdoor play, and nature-based experiences.
Our holistic growth vision is based on Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Waldorf Education.
Our founder and main teacher, Lilian Simoes, trained in early childhood education at the Bay Area Center of Waldorf Teacher Training and LifeWays. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Claretiano University in Brazil and studied child development at Cerro Coso Community College and College of Marin. She speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish. Our teachers and assistants maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications and complete Mandatory Reporter training, reviewed every two years.
We are a living community rooted in relationship, trust and shared care, with meaningful connections between children, parents and teachers.
