Our mission is to provide an intellectually, physically and emotionally stimulating, safe, opportunity rich environment for people with Cerebral Palsy and other motor disabilities where they can learn to reach their highest level of independence.

BOOST School is a program of UCP of the North Bay. Our educators work hand-in-hand with a team of specialists to deliver individualized, systematic academic programs that support each student’s unique mobility and learning needs. From occupational, physical, and speech therapy to behavioral support and life skills development, our educators create engaging, goal-oriented lessons that help each child learn in the way that works best for them.
Designed for students with motor challenges, our curriculum builds therapies into academics and life skills all day: functional academics and movement, communication, sensory regulation and social skills.
We are based on Conductive Education, an educational approach that integrates therapies, academic instruction, and physical growth to support the whole child.
Our year-round classroom has two special education teachers, one-on-one support staff, and occupational, speech, vision, orientation and mobility, and physical therapists.
We help students with mobility challenges learn, grow and achieve independence.
Every classroom experience encourages active participation, problem-solving and independence, skills that extend far beyond the school day.
Students build vocational and community skills, and we provide transition services back to public school and on to adult services.
Learning goes beyond our classroom, with field trips, an inclusive Para sport club for people of all ages with mobility needs and BOOST Therapies intensives: one to four weeks of individual physical, occupational and speech therapy sessions, five days a week.
Our collaborative approach extends beyond the school day, supporting families, promoting inclusion, and advocating for the needs and potential of every student.
While learning begins in the classroom, true growth happens when it continues into everyday life. At BOOST, we celebrate progress in all its forms.
