We are a private, coeducational college-preparatory day school for grades 9–12, where learning is a discovery process based on collaboration and mutual respect.

Branson faculty and staff are devoted to our students, and passionate about excellence in education. 88% of our faculty hold advanced degrees, and 44% of our faculty and staff self-identify as people of color.
Each year, we work to make sure our curriculum is relevant, engaging, and centers the questions and topics that interest our students. The teaching faculty create the curriculum, and the general course of study for our students is shaped by the aspirations of our mission and the ambition and vision of our strategic goals.
As of the fall of 2024, we have eliminated all AP courses entirely. Academic departments have pivoted away from the AP (College Board's "Advanced Placement") curriculum for more rigorous study that draws on teachers' expertise and allows us to address and adapt to student interest.
We offer Mandarin Chinese I through VI, including Mandarin IV Honors and Advanced Mandarin V/VI Electives; Spanish I through V, including Spanish II and III Honors and Advanced Spanish IV/V Electives; and Spanish for Native and Heritage Speakers I through V, including III Honors.
At Branson, we build community with intention as we learn, study, and play together on our beautiful 17-acre campus nestled under majestic Mt. Tamalpais.

Each year, we host over 40 clubs for every interest imaginable.
Our outstanding tradition in athletics begins with our indelible commitment to competition, hard work, and character development.

Tuition 2026-27
We offer several tuition payment plans: a one-time payment of full tuition (less deposit) due in May; two installments due in May and November; four installments due in May, August, November, and February; ten installments due in May through February.
We support students from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and offer a full range of aid to eligible families, from 15% to almost the full cost of tuition.
We are excited to be kicking off our admissions season to welcome the Class of 2031 to Branson!
Registration for all Branson events is required through the Ravenna Hub unless otherwise stated.
To begin the application process, families must first create a Student Profile on Ravenna Hub and press the “Apply” button for The Branson School. Families will need to sign up for a Campus Visit, complete the preliminary and supplemental application steps, and schedule an interview by the deadline.
Our average class size is 14.
In the Rand Center, we also assist students with the implementation of approved accommodations at Branson and help students apply for standardized test accommodations.
Beginning in sophomore year, we host informational sessions for students and parents. Starting the spring of junior year, we begin meeting individually with students and their families to discuss academic records, interests, and goals.
Our Immersives program is a two-week, end-of-year program for students in every grade to explore a specific field of study in cross-disciplinary courses co-taught by faculty and staff members. Each year approximately 30 courses are offered on a wide range of topics to suit every interest.
