Come for passion. Leave with purpose.

Marin Catholic is an Archdiocesan, Catholic, co-ed college prep high school founded on the values of faith, knowledge, and service.

Ch. 1

The Story

Marin Catholic's mission is to lead students to Jesus Christ. In partnership with parents, the school forms flourishing men and women of virtue through an excellent academic, artistic, athletic, and spiritual education. At the core of its practice is the student-teacher relationship, where educators model Christian virtue and witness to the Roman Catholic faith.

Its motto, Duc in Altum, "Into the Deep", comes from Chapter 5 of Luke's Gospel, when Jesus asks Peter to cast his nets out into the deep. The school hopes each student learns to trust in the Lord, goes out into the deep, spiritually, academically, artistically and athletically, and in return has their nets filled.

The young men and women attending Marin Catholic are dedicated, accomplished students, willing and able to undertake the challenges of a college preparatory program and make their unique contribution to the school community.

The Campus

Located in Kentfield, CA, Marin Catholic's campus sits on 14 acres of land with an abundance of outdoor space and captivating views of Mount Tamalpais.

Since its opening in 1949, the campus has gone through multiple enhancements, such as the building of the St. John Paul II Student Center, athletic facilities, the reconstructed St. Anselm Hall, which houses the Campus Ministry Department, Counseling Offices and the Principled Entrepreneurship Institute, and most recently the renovation of its Science classrooms.

Enrichment

Every Marin Catholic student completes at least a year in the arts. The school offers instrumental music, vocal music, visual arts, and theater for every level of interest, with two theater productions each year, and the National Art Education Association has recognized its visual arts facilities and curriculum.

Beyond the arts, more than 30 student-run clubs welcome new members at fall Club Rush or any time during the year.
