Founded in 1977, we have always been proud to say that we're a different kind of school. One that fosters a genuine passion for learning, kindness, and positive change.
In 2017, Marin Horizon School forged an innovative partnership with Community Action Marin, a public agency, to provide quality early childhood education in Marin City through a new program, the Horizon Community School.
The Marin Horizon community is diverse. More than 35% of students identify as a person of color, and we enjoy celebrating different cultures and traditions in our classrooms and across campus. Beyond race and ethnicity, gender, identity, and sexual preference are appreciated. We want every student to feel seen, respected, and valued for who they are.
