We are a licensed in-home Montessori program designed for toddlers, where English guides the day intermingled with French and American Sign Language.

Ch. 1

The Story

Our community is dedicated to fostering the unique growth of each Little Learner's heart, mind, and body. By working, playing, and eating together, Montessori methods empower awareness in each child’s identity, relationships, and community impact.

Our school was born out of a passion for growing young hearts, minds, and bodies. Founder Miss Audrey writes, "After subbing at Terese’s Montessori for Toddlers (Novato) in high school, and working with Sylvie at Sunnyside Montessori (San Rafael) in college, I finally opened my own Montessori-based program for toddlers in 2020 in Larkspur."

With a special interest in Montessori methods and early childhood development, our toddlers absorb their initial understandings of taking care of themselves, building respectful and compassionate relationships, and interacting with their world in a wholesome way, right here at school. Through personalized attention and gentle teacher guidance, our community goal is to encourage exploration, growth, and joy in learning.

Ch. 2

A School Day

We give students the comfort of routine in our daily schedule. Our child-led work period begins at 9:00, and circle time at 11:15 includes reading, music and movement.

Each family is assigned a 5-minute pick up window within 12:00pm and 12:15pm.

Ch. 3

Programs

For 2026-27, we offer only the Regular program, from 8:45 to 12:15. Extended Day is currently paused. Our school year runs September through the beginning of June. Children practice independence by removing their shoes and putting on classroom slippers. Math and science shelf work introduces numbers and counting; circle-time demonstrations and songs introduce shapes. English guides the day, with American Sign Language for not-yet-verbal toddlers and French songs and books at circle time.

Regular program

Children may start as young as 16/17 months depending on readiness. Most new enrollments are between 17-26 months old; children attend for 6 months to 2 years depending on age and enrollment timing.

Ch. 4

The Campus

Our space has been thoughtfully arranged for a Little Learner's optimal use. We've intentionally curated the classroom to include: appropriately-sized furniture, easy access to supplies for any activity, and enough space to work alone or with a group.

We spend time outdoors moving and challenging our bodies, gardening, and experiencing shelf work with sensory-forward activities. We also enjoy water play activities on warmer days.

Ch. 5

Enrichment

We tell stories and read books about children who may be different from us. We learn about each other, and use art as a tool in our classroom to explore creative thinking, and celebrate the beauty of all our efforts in creating our unique artwork.

Each month we have a different theme that introduces the seasons and different parts of the world.

We create global awareness through subjects ranging from geography and social studies to ethical awareness and the natural world.

Values

Ch. 7

Admissions

Family visits open in Spring for enrollment for the following school year. Initial enrollment offers are sent in April/May. If offered enrollment, a non-refundable hold fee is due with the signed contract.

Tours

Families who submit an application will be invited to tour around Feb/March for enrollment for the following school year.

ii.

Age to enroll

Children may start as young as 16/17 months depending on readiness. Most new enrollments are between 17-26 months old when they start.

iii.

Application

Submitting an application adds a child to the waitpool, and does not guarantee enrollment. To complete an application, we ask families to submit the $80 fee via Venmo to @Miss-Audrey. Applications submitted without payment will not be considered.

Care and options

Drop-in day, for enrolled students in the 3x/week program$100

Tuition is due in ten equal payments on the 10th of each month from August to May. All meals, snacks, classroom supplies and art materials are included. Families provide classroom slippers, diapers and wipes, a hat and spare clothes.

We have limited scholarships available. We are passionate about working with budget-diversity.
