The Story
Our parents and teachers work together to provide a stimulating and creative environment that encourages the development of each child’s love of learning through both structured and unstructured play experiences.
We are child-centered and play-based.
Our community, from its earliest days starting in 1968, has strived to provide a safe and caring environment for children as they progress toward greater independence and self-reliance.
We do not have paid employees other than the teachers. Our parents and family members work during the school day, hold Board positions and other leadership roles, and pitch in to keep the school running.
Our cooperative framework serves as a supportive resource for parents as they guide their children through the experience of early childhood. We also provide a unique experience for families who wish to be more involved in these first years of their child’s life and to learn alongside with them.
Our community playdates are open to the public.
