Our gentle bridge from home to school

We offer a Montessori preschool program in San Rafael for children ages 18 months to 3½–4 years.

Ch. 1

The Story

Our program seeks to provide a gentle transition for children from the home into a group setting. Our priority is to ensure that each child feels safe, secure and supported.

Ch. 2

A School Day

Each day has a pattern and predictable rhythm with which children become familiar. This supports the development of their self-regulation skills within the environment.

1 - 3 pm

Rest

Children rest on their individual mats.

4 pm

Pickup

Departure.

4 to 5 pm

Extended care

We also have extended hours 4 to 5 pm Monday through Thursday.

Outside

Swings, bikes, slides, or just playing ball on the grass!

3.30 pm

Snack

We provide organic, nutritious snacks.

Lunch

Hot Organic Lunch, mostly provided by our garden!

Ch. 4

The Campus

The classroom is carefully prepared to be warm, inviting and beautiful. It is designed to evoke curiosity, wonder, experimentation and exploration.

We have a great big back yard where the children can swing, jump on the trampoline, climb on play structures, ride cars and tricycles; we love to play balls on our big natural grass area! We work daily on our garden where we planted beans, peas, tomatoes, broccoli and strawberries of course!
