We are a Lutheran preschool and kindergarten in San Rafael for children ages 2 to 5, with morning classes from 9:00am to 12:00pm and extended care from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

Ch. 1

The Story

We are dedicated to providing children with a joyful, loving and stimulating environment.

The arts are critical to a child’s development and, therefore, integral to our curriculum. We value developing the whole child. We plan our school day so each child will have choices within structure, which encourages creative exploration and builds self-esteem and self-regulation.

We are not here just for the kids, but for the whole family! We offer many opportunities for all of our families to spend quality time together.

Ch. 2

A School Day

There is a balance of structure and choices built into our curriculum on a daily basis.

Arrival

Early Care is free choice in the Red Door, and at 8:30 a.m. everyone goes to their classroom.

12-12:30

Lunch

Our afternoon extended care begins at noon, and the first hour is lunch and playtime on the playground.

1:00

Rest

At 1:00 pm, we have a quiet storybook time for the children to relax their bodies.

2:30

Outside

Late Care for all ages begins with outside play from 2:30 to 3:30.

3:30

Snack

We provide snack from 3:30 to 4.

4-6 p.m.

Extended care

Free choice including reading activities, board games, group puzzles, various art mediums, and dramatic play until 6 p.m.

Programs

Our well-balanced morning program is developed to meet the individual needs of children as they learn to relate to one another in social skills based upon a Christian value system. We have one two-year-old class, two 3-year-old classes, one 4-year-old class and one older 4’s and 5’s classroom.

The two-year-olds do not have to be potty trained.

Ch. 4

The Campus

Trinity has been providing quality early education in Central Marin. The preschool is a ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church located in San Rafael, CA. Trinity is conveniently located blocks away from the downtown area between Davidson Middle School and Muffin Mania.

We have four bright, well-equipped Preschool Classrooms and a Transitional Kindergarten. We also have one of the best playgrounds around! It is a tri-level play area that provides for more variety in play and exploration. Tucked away behind the classrooms are a shaded play structure, merry-go-round, bikes, two types of swings, sand box, chalkboard wall, and more, but it still has an amazing sense of openness.

Our fun, child-engaging curriculum includes art, science, math, music, cooking, and large muscle exercise.

Faith & Service

We are a Lutheran Preschool.

Our purpose is to instill a strong spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and social framework for living.

Worship

The kids attend chapel on Monday and Tuesday mornings from 8:15-8:30am. We also sing prayers before our meals.

The rest of the week the Bible Story is taught by the teachers in the classrooms.

Through our weekly Chapel, Bible Stories, and songs, children learn that everyone is loved by God and to share that love with others through their kind words and actions.

Tuition is due the 15th of each month. Late charges begin after the 20th. Our extended care is billed hourly.
